The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Catching up to do but - I'm home. All went well.
They were running @ an hour behind and their WiFi wouldn't connect to the site. So this is my first update.

Early night tonight but sleep is good.
Awesome to hear!! Rest up and say hi when you can

Are you playing the psychedelic 60s music as you finish coming down from the anaesthetic?

Catch up time... not to be confused with Ketchup Time
And/or rollies! 😤
Small: check
Rollies: check
Deeper than expected: check
Like to play Ding-Dong-Ditch: check
Took an RN and the Anesthesiologist to start the IV
RN - once and noped out to call anesthisia
Anesthesiologist - a little hunting, then lidocaine (burns!), then 3 or 4 tries before the IV was ready
Honestly, I've had worse. This is pretty much the standard for me.
Got into the pit and hurt my elbow.
Geez! Be careful out there, man! Elbows are tricky and can take a long time to heal. Next time go for a clean break, not a bendy joint. (Like we get to choose the location for an accidental injury). 🤗

I’m not alone

NJ bagels weren’t mentioned because the author didn’t want to “sleep with the fishes” by not voting for the NJ bagels, so he avoided talking about them

Lol. Written by a Canadian I'm sure.
Midwest weighing in on the bagel debate.
Disclaimer: I'm a picky eater w/ what have been called both "clean" and "weird" food habits.
When you take the chains out of the mix (i.e. Bruegger's Bagels, Panera Bread, etc.)... we have some independents that cook both representatives from both styles.

Overall, I prefer NJ/NY style -
Smaller hole = less lost fixins and cleaner eat
Chewier and fluffier: yes, please
Montreal "cooked in water and honey": too sweet for me
Montreal "most common flavors poppy seed and sesame seed": okay, but my fave are garlic and pumpernickel

(If I could get a "garlic pumpernickel bagel" I'd likely have a foodgasm 🤤 )

But if you want a "rip and dip" option, then Montreal is the way to go IMO.

Missed my window - also, this type of anesthesia doesn't hang on as long. I went from naptime to wide awake in under 20 minutes. So will play this now - thank you!

I’d demand your money back, tell them you feel cheated
