Sex & Shenanigans

I also read somewhere that people picture themselves as the characters… so unless a character is described with race or with physical features you tend to make the people like you… so white people read characters as white so then when they make a movie or something it tends to be less good in peoples minds.
That makes sense, the brain is pretty lazy when you give it a lot of room to be so. Probably why I like authors who are more descriptive and less likely to leave a "blank" for the reader to place themselves in. It is lazy writing, but it works for a lot of big authors. (For example, Bella in Twilight was written as openly as possible to allow the readers to insert themselves.)

ummm....no. I have noticed in some Stephen King movies they kind of water down the endings. Like Thinner. The ending of the book was much more tragic than in the movie.
"Watered down" is not a bad thing. We all need water to survive.

Nope, movies are always better than the books and that's final!

Sorry, I'm just giving myself a sargasm right now.

(Piss off, spellchecker. "Sargasm" is clearly combining sarcasm and orgasm and it should totally be a word)

The best Punisher movie is Dirty Laundry, a 10 minute short film with Thomas Jane! Came out after War Zone and it really screamed "Give Jane back the role!"

Jane was fantastic in the role for sure. This short feels like the first ten minutes of a new movie, which I wish it was.
It is good but it’s not this good. This is the most Punisher thing ever and anyone who disagrees fails to understand how fundamentally ridiculous The Punisher is 🤣

War Zone is amazing and kind of hilarious with stuff like this. It feels much more like the old Ennis run then Jane's movie.

Ok so question for the masses…

When you read a book do you follow along with your brain in images … like watching a movie in your head as you are reading?

If you DONT do this… what do you do?

Do you read along as an inner monologue in your own voice like an audiobook?

Do you see the words in your brain like text bubbles?
