I don't know what English or American beers are like, but I love the ones we have in South Africa, for the most part we tend to drink lager, but there are plenty others available.

I had a nursing friend from south africa....I used to send her encouragement notes in Africaans..... she was nice but had a hard life

Mowed and weed whacked four lawns
Fixed a flat tire on my lawn tractor
Put out seedlings at the farmstand
Put drain holes in some of my wife’s planters.

And my wife took me out for a beer and a burger at our local old man bar.

Don't be, B2. It's an easy surgery! If you're anxious about it, let the anesthesiologist know. S/he will probably give you an anxiolytic like versed to calm you.

Not at all. She's thrilled! The only time she needs any additional help is up close when she's eating. So she pops on a pair of cheaters when she eats and otherwise her vision is very clear. More a "wait and see" before you toss any cheaters out. Unless you don't like yours and want an excuse to throw them away?

Also - her case was a bit unusual. So IDK if her experience is "textbook".

I can eat without my cheaters but can't read, use the computer, or do any close work without them.

Sad, and frustrated. Mom spends a lot of time paralyzed with fear and doesn't realize it. She won't take steps to manage her money and won't allow anyone to help her. And she won't learn how to do it. I know she's lazy, but no one will do this for her. it's really annoying.
