Yeah, I think that was one of his later singles, because young Cohen had a very sweet voice, it got dark and deep in the 80’s.

I love that version. Buckley’s is great. Damien Rice does a good version. But this is, to my ears, the best version out there. The different voices add such good texture. It’s a fantastic live recording (the talent, not the actual recording).
