Not sure if it’s in order…will have to work or edit if not. Basically these three shots show the rot on the trunk. You can see how long the tap root is, and when I pruned, I left a lot more than normal…in fact I did a lot of things “not normal” just to make sure the plant survived.

When ordering the sulphate mixture last week, I neglected to get the Jin&Shari tool …couldn’t wait anymore so just got a sharp Buck knife and whittled away. I’ll post those tomorrow.

I'm not afraid of moose, but I won't go closer than 100 ft. I have cousins in NH & Maine who won't get close either.

Dang didn't even look it up...... I was between that headache or fever.... aspiring wasn't developed until I want say early 20th century..... they used willow bark that is high in salicylates....makes you think doesn't it

I was going to say the same thing. You didn't need to look it up; it's in your vestigial memory! I did know about willow bark.

All in a Day's Work: 75 Years of Caterpillar

Came across a copy of this book at the Friends of the Library bookstore at my local branch. Thought my little niblings would enjoy it.

This is an online photo of the cover - my copy has some damage on the inside of each cover. Typical, heavy coffee table book. Must not have been supported properly, so the back covers are tearing away a bit. But still intact. Even has a letter from a Robert C. Petterson. Latin America Division. The book was commissioned for Caterpillar's 75th Anniversary and copies given to employees.

Made it home safe and sound. Airlining in the US isn’t what the movies make it out to be, but I made it home in one piece and only slightly ruffled feathers, so can’t complain. Thank you for the well wishes BTW!

Today is surgery day for my old juniper bonsai. Keeping fingers crossed my Shari doesn’t kill it . I think I may be overthinking it a tad, as the kids and myself have tried many times over the years to take her out but she keeps thriving! I’ll post pics when I’m done with her. She’s getting some much deserved love this week!

The airlines suck now! Seats in the back are nearly impossible for adults to sit in for any length of time. They continue to make the seats smaller and closer together so there's no leg room.
