Day 20 a Theee Word Song

Some of you may have noticed I was a bit in my cups last night. One thing I often do in such a state is put on music and make my wife dance with me. Last night she insisted she wasn’t going to

“I’m not dancing”
“You’re going dance with me”
“I’m not going to”
“Yes you are”
“No I’m not”

I put this song on.

“Not fucking fair”

😁

Oh damn, what are the odds?
Well, I've already thanked the Panthers... so I guess it's time to thank the Monkeys now!
(See previous post.) Thank you for such an excellent song choice!
And I loved the "conversation" of your background story, too. Thank you!

Day 20: A song with a three world title
"Selling the Drama" - Live
"Throwing Copper" might be one of my favorite start-to-finish albums. No skips.

Oh yes! An album that is the very definition of "no skips"!
The whole album is so great that sometimes I forget to give the individual songs their due. Fantastic choice!

Day 21: A song with a four word title

This song is pure poetry. It is sad poetry, played over an extremely sorrowful violin track. For it’s last verse it borrows a section of Shakespeare’s poem Venus and Adonis, with the pronouns reversed. Don’t be fooled by the band name, this particular song is not loud, or heavy. It is extremely beautiful in its sadness but it will make you feel; loss, grief, heartache.

My Dying Bride - For My Fallen Angel

Day 21: A song with a four word title
A few years ago I heard a song by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis which I won't mention the title out of respect of The One Rule. What caught my ear was he had Mary Lambert add some of this utterly beautiful song, my favorite by her. (He didn't sample it, she recorded it specifically, which was awesome on both parts. She is listed as a songwriter on his).

"She Keeps Me Warm," Mary Lambert.

Day 14: An a cappella song

Sunday's Coming - Martyn Joseph
Day 15: A song with a musical element that you don’t often find (could be an interesting vocal skill, uncommon instrument, timing, etc)

I give you a helicon, amongst other unusual instruments...

London Town - Bellowhead
Day 16: A song you would play at 3am

Father and Son - Cat Stevens
Day 17: A song used in a TV show (not the theme/opening song)

Suddenly - Angry Anderson (Scott & Charlene's wedding in Neighbours)
