Hate to say it but Reform stealing enough votes off them to make them lose safe seats, but not enough to win it over Labour or LDs looks like a perfect outcome to me. I really want them to know they've had their arses handed to them this election, as a vote of resounding no-confidence in the utter clusterfuck they've made of the last 14 years.

Also, now Labour have moved right back to the soft centre, it's about time they kissed and made up with the LDs and either joined up or at least show interest in a coalition if things turn out closer than expected. You can't get a sheet of paper between them ideologically now anyway.

That's why we need to pay them more, get intelligent people into office, ones who aren't bothered about being popular and only care about moving the country and economy forward.

I cannot wait for the general election. I fully intend to help the local grassroots labour campaign in my area. We have a really good MP, Rupa Huq, and I am voting for the MP not the party at large.

That doesn’t mean of course that I am happy with them Labour Party right now - I’m not. But in my view (not shared by everyone, I accept) getting Labour into government represents the best opportunity for a positive change.

I fully expect the first two years to be more of the same, but after that I think the campaigns and lobbying from the lefter fringes will win over at last.

I think Gaza has really put it into perspective that Labour’s role in the proceedings was flawed. I could not believe Keir Starmer justified the shutting off of water supplies last November. An awful decision on his part.

Right, back to work! No more politics! I promise.
