This was a rough week, and I did some work this morning which is a challenge for me, but it is done now. Time to relax, watch a movie… and let my brat flag fly. The movie is….

I had a really great time, ears are buzzing like crazy today.

The opening act, Illumishade, were new to me and I think in time, they’ll be a great act to see again.

The main act, Korpiklaani were super high energy but there were two things I didn’t like. First, they didn’t really engage the crowd and when they did, it was either super muffled, or in Finnish, so either way, not many in attendance knew what they were talking about. And second, in a concert setting, all their songs started sounding the same, no real variety.

The second act, Visions of Atlantis, is who I went to see and they did not disappoint. The energy, the crowd engagement, their sound, the theatrics; all were so good! And OMG, Clémentine Delauney sounds just as good live as on the albums and she often times reverted into her French to engage the crowd, and I think I’m in love. I mean, she’s also really fucking hot so that might also have something to do with it.
