Sex & Shenanigans

Well all the men of lit, apparently. Excluding yourself of course. No one is performing dick tricks of any kind.

It's depressing.
Making your dick disappear is a trick, right? So all the men of Lit know one magic trick....

Ah... That's right.

I forgot that's why you like me in my nun costume so much. 😂
Well, to be clear...I prefer you to be stepping out of the nun costume.

But keep the ruler in your hand. I've been bad so you're going to need it. ;)

Happy to be stepping out of it... But you have to do a trick for every item of clothing you want gone.

I'll grab my metal ruler just so it stings a little bit more... 😏

Ohh do tell me more!!
Welcome to my OnlyPans!

Juiced 4 Meyer lemons, gave me about 3/4 cup juice. In a small pan, start it heating. When boiling, added 3/4 cup sugar. Start mixing until the sugar is complexly dissolved.

Zested a couple of the lemons in strips (this is harder than doing the same with regular lemons because of the thin skin. Make sure to not get too much of the pith (the white stuff) because it gets bitter.) Toss those in, let it simmer for about 10 minutes, then take it off the heat to let it cool with the zest in there. Strain when cool. In a closed container in the refrigerator it should stay for almost ever, but say about six months. This isn't going to last that long.

I am going to try it in cocktails, but I also mixed some with club soda for an Italian soda. So good.

I did something similar. Micro-planed the zest and threw it in with the juice of about 6 lemons, and sugar. Added a couple cups of water, ran it through my ice cream maker.
Sinfully delicious lemon ice. Add some simmered raspberries with a shot of blackberry liqueur in there and 😈

I thought about microplaneing, but I was tired and didn't want to drag the cheesecloth out. Strips gave me the ability to fish them out easier. I was lazy, I fully admit. The ice sounds fantastic. I need to try that.

This is my third syrup attempt this spring. I made a raspberry that was fantastic, and this all kicked off with @morelikeasong 's bitter, bitter disappointment at Starbucks's Lavender Latte. I made a lavender syrup that was amazing, with both the floral and some lovely earthy notes. Good in a cappuccino (after I took it from 2:1 to 1:1), and made a fascinating soda.

Nah, you weren’t lazy. Just efficient. You wanted a simple syrup, and boiling with strips will still get the same amount of oil out of the peel as microplaning, with a whole lot less straining after 😂

I have a couple Windows laptops, one a brick running Win10 that I keep because I have some software that will only work up to 10. I also have a fairly recent Win11 machine I use for a few things. Hell, I have a VM running XP for a game that never got properly emulated. But my main computer, and all my servers, are Linux of various flavors. One, I grew up, almost literally, on a Unix system, so I love the command line. But I love the community, and the feel of making something that corporations can't bite into. And while Windows does what it does as it does, I love being able to change anything and everything, that feeling of control without subverting the system like you have to with windows. And it is hella fun, but that is just me.

Not trying to convert you, just blathering. ;)
Nerd.

It means tea. I think it's come to mean the style of Indian tea that is heavily spiced and fragrant. But it still means tea.

We call our tea, tea tea. 🍵
Oh, okay, thanks!
I'm a sucker for spicy tea... My fave is a blend of ginger/black pepper/lemon. Every sip brings that lovely gingery tingling 💕

Ugh... spent time in Alabama, Florida panhandle, and Oklahoma thought they are the deep South.
Sometimes water wasn't even an option and I hate any tea that isn't chai. 🤢

Huh? Tea is chai. Chai is tea. Chai means tea in... Lao (sa), japanese (ocha), chinese (chá), and many more.
What does chai mean in english?

I also hate pretty much all teas, but can tolerate chai lattes 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess they’re spiced enough to *almost* entirely overpower the taste of tea
