I'm glad the abusive father died. It'd have liked to have seen the MC rip him apart limb from limb instead of a car crash though

that story and "Why'd you ever have to say goodbye" were written 'on the fly', there was no real plot, but had a beginning and an end... the bit with the father just happened and then i decided i REALLY hated him, so killed him and then made it throwaway.

I was quite proud of the "what happens in the sea" bit as that was made up, much as Kate describes, from her standing by the water the evening before.
