Sex & Shenanigans

I love older movies, but never saw that one. Doesn’t look like my cup of tea. 🤷‍♀️
People either love it or hate it. I read the book, and the movie follows it closely, other than moving from London to Chicago. If you figure out early that the main character is a childish asshole to start, even if he is an amiable and charming one, it works better. If you see him as a romantic lead, it crashes hard. As it revolves (heh) around a record store, the soundtrack is top-notch. And the cameos are fantastic, including Bruce Springsteen as Rob's subconscious.

But the opening line hits it out of the park: "Which came first: the music, or the misery?"
