I love that line as well. And it really hits the age perfectly.

hmmmmm. HMMMMM. well I do say I'll try anything once. Yeah okay, once the grills roll out for summer I'll toss some radishes on there.


Yay! You're in the good camp It's weirdly the lowest rated episode. I just wanted it to go on for another hour....

I liked it but I think it didn't really fit with the show. I think the 2nd season was rushed a bit to capitalize on the wild success of Season 1. I think it would have been better received if they opened a season with it. Generally, people don't like change and that was definitely a departure. I confess that after watching it the first time, I realized I would enjoy it much more were I stoned. On re-watch, I was not wrong in that opinion.

The only way I have enjoyed radishes was thin sliced on nachos, usually beef nachos. Nice bite and nice crunch.

Now, thanks to @morelikeasong's example earlier, I roasted some radishes in my airfryer. Which goes on my Bingo card under "Phrases you never thought you would use. Ever. Ever." But please --do not send boobs. Just saying,


Cut the ends off and halved. Tossed in olive oil, fresh garlic, salt, fresh ground pepper. Roasted at 400 for 8 minutes. Tossed again with grated Parmesan cheese. Roasted at 400 for another 4 minutes because I only had the one bunch.

Not bad. Not a whole lot of flavor from the radish, a little sweetness, but a nice texture and a good cooked crunch. No residual bite. I may play around with the spicing and the volume. I think it may work better with a larger bunch, but this was just an experiment.

Each week, I'll drop a theme and everyone posts their top 10 things. For example, I'm thinking "Top 10 Books" for the start. But definitely want to change it up and be random like Top 10 Fried Foods, stuff like that.

Thoughts?

A few years back, I tried a thread on this. I based it off the movie "High Fidelity" with John Cusack (who I love) and tried to make Top 5 lists like he did in the movies. It did ok at first but lost steam.
Were you thinking of doing it in a separate thread or trying it in here? If here, I think you'd need to talk with CCG first but I'd also be concerned about it getting lost with the break neck pace and the ADD nature of the thread.
