Day 3: A song by an artist no longer living.

I'm probably blowing one I could use for covers day or something like that, but I love this rendition of this song, and for people of my generation, we look back at this last 30 seconds of this performance with almost a deep sadness and regret.

But it's also a cover by a dead artist of an artist even longer dead, so please enjoy.

R.I.P. Mark. This album was listened to a lot in the 90’s

One of the advantages of being old was becoming of drinking age when grunge was taking off in the PNW. I got to see a lot of these bands in little clubs, and worked sound and lights on some of them. Screaming Trees was a favorite. We had a little wake for Mark when he passed.

Shout out to @Mr_bogey for introducing me to Karl Wallinger’s music, even if it had to be postmortem.
Also, welcome back to the challenge 😜

World Party - Put The Message In The Box

This warms my heart and my soul. I love this prompt because I love to pay tribute to artists. I usually use Elliott Smith or Warren Zevon but today, I knew I'd be using Karl.

I love that my self-indugent thread of tribute to him and his music landed another fan.

Now, if you'll excuse me, Karl and I have a boat to get off of.
