Why is it so hard to find a real connection these days? It's like everyone is scared to get close to people. I understand people have been hurt before or have trust issues, but it seems as if nobody wants to open up about things.

People are messy. The world is pretty messy, too. We're living in an age of PTSD. The government. The society. The pandemic. A whole shift of wealth away from and toward others that is more complex than ever... plus online dating, apps, **********, Only Fans, Pornhub, Sugar Daddy/Sugar Baby, tumblr, etc. There's an ecosystem of erotomania.

People are afraid. They've built walls. They're in retreat.

To connect you need to want to expose yourself. To give something precious, time. To think in the longer term, or at least to think.

Nope. It has to be trustworthy and compassionate. Confident and vulnerable. Communication needs "orhers awareness" and "self awareness."
