Is mom allowed to hold the baby? It might help with her recovery. And probably the baby's too, they can comfort each other. I heard even just feeling those little fingers take hold can be soothing.

Baby is still in the hospital for monitoring. Mom and dad can hold and cuddle her and they are doing it skin to skin for warmth and attachment I guess. She just had the feeding tube removed and her sucking instinct has kicked in.

btw... two days labour must be one for the books. Did the doctor say if a study on it will be published?

i mean, its not 75 days labour but still, that'd be scrapbook worthy for baby o.o

No, it's not rare. I personally know 2 people who've been in labour for at least days. One said she won't have more kids because of that. The other finally ended up in C-section for the medical reasons both times, once semi-urgently.
 
Phew. I'm done for today. And I think a drink would be nice to relax - except do I dare to risk any alcohol when this tired 🤔

So far it's been Funny who's done the cuddling. Roomeo will join me in bed.

And I've indulged myself in planning some hidden but practical pieces to my folkdress. Like, petticoat and separate double pockets. Drinking hot chocolate.
 
My family is going to Florida tomorrow for a week. I'm staying home for financial reasons. I tell myself I'm going to drink like a fish and cruise women for incredible bachelor adventures, but in reality I'll be having beer watching tv. Sigh.
