The first year I moved here, it snowed in April and September.

Now it hardly ever snows enough to last days.

It's cold and it just rains. You hear about snow in the news but I swear there's like a huge hole on top of Manchester that doesn't allow snow clouds to pass so the entire country enjoys it but us

Cities tend to be warmer than their surroundings. The heat island effect may even make a difference of several degrees.

That's true, and it probably doesn't help that this particular city was the first industrial city in the world.

Oh well. Maybe I'll strike it rich one day and I'll have a vacation house where it snows and I can maybe learn to ski... I'll keep Finland in my positive thoughts

I have the nearest skiing track within walking distance from home, and a beach just as near

Yet I have the plentiful services of a big suburb within 1km (I don't need to go further than that every week), nearest bust stop just 200m away (a bus every 10min at best), and just 10km to the city center.

I was gonna make a reference about lady gardens but I can't compete with an entire state

We saw Damsel!! Lovely movie but there is just one part I wish was different. At the end when she is confronting her persecutors they should have made the dragon's tail available to her so she could climb on and then be lifted onto the dragons back aka GoT and House of the Dragon. Then they would have seen the Dragon Queen before they were obliterated.

Did you skip levels... actually, are guard combs numbered over there? Or colour coded?

The women's version are just clear white so I label it myself. I still can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing

Depends on what you buy, I've seen/used both and of course with a much different outcome
