Sex & Shenanigans

Ok yall ….. what’s your favourite conspiracy theory?

What’s one you believe?
I was far more amused by conspiracy theories before…you know…*gesticulates wildly at this modern world*. So I don’t know that I have a favorite at the moment.

I definitely think “they” (government, corpo’s, big Tech) are watching and listening to more than most people know or think about, but probably less than the worst of us fear.

When I was an undergrad geophysicist, my professor had a “pen pal” who would regularly write him edge-to-edge handwritten letters explaing all the various ways earthquakes in the region were being cause by…whatever. I don’t recall any of those fever dreams but they were very amusing at the time. Think that pen-pal is in Congress now. Probably.

Outfit last, because you don't want mess it up while doing makeup and hair. Normally I start with makeup, and then do my hair as it may cover the makeup a bit.

But if it's an elaborate hairdo for some occasion... Then start with that early enough so I have time to start over if needed, sometimes even have the hairdresser do it to begin with. Then I might have lunch or whatever in between, and then makeup and outfit a little before going to the occasion. Or back in the days when I had a dance competition, I made the hair at home, and makeup ln the competition place. Outfit definitely last!

Which is the "right way" to get ready?
  1. makeup, outfit, hair
  2. outfit, makeup, hair
  3. hair, makeup, outfit
  4. makeup, hair, outfit
  5. outfit, hair, makeup
  6. hair, outfit, makeup
So…..why do you care? 😂

3 or 4, depending on what is to be done with the hair.
I’m with Strix. Unless the outfit is really hard to get into or will mess up my hair (exceedingly rare occurrence), it’s always last to avoid getting makeup or hair stuff on it. Also to avoid wrinkles.

My preference is generally makeup before hair, but those two are pretty easily flipped. If one of them is elaborate, that one goes first.

What about the Mandela affect … anyone have thoughts? Theories?
That memories are plastic, and when we think on them, we can change them. And pop-culture adds to this, and edits what we remember. "Play it again, Sam," is from a Woody Allen movie (well, a play first, but for pop-culture we're going for the bigger hit), not Casablanca.
