Green Tyrants Get Horrible News as Finance Giants Pull Out Left and Right

By Joe Saunders, The Western Journal Feb. 19, 2024 7:00 am

The tyranny of green might have gone too far.

The announcement last week that investment giants JPMorgan Chase and State Street have pulled out of the world’s largest coalition of groups waging financial war on fossil fuels is a sign that even spineless bankers can find a backbone if they’re pushed too hard.

And it’s going to cost the climate activists dearly.

According to Reuters, JPMorgan and State Street made the move to quit the group Climate Action 100+ on Thursday. At the same time, BlackRock, the world’s largest investment manager, transferred its membership in Climate Action 100+ to its international arm.

According to The New York Times, the decisions total a hit worth $14 trillion (with a “tr”) to Climate Action 100+, a coalition that aims to use its “environmental, social and corporate governance” metrics — “ESG” in corporate-woke shorthand — to decide what money goes where in the investment world.

AOC will need new underwear.

The social justice war has ended. The socialists have lost. But like all good little bolsheviks they won't admit it.

Social justice has nothing to do with socialists or the green movement, Derpy.

You tried.

😐

Why do you people glorify trashing the enviroment? I don't get it! Would you rather live in a moon-scaped global hellhole? I mean, what in the actual fuck? Why is caring about the envioronment suddenly a bad thing?

You are obsessed with people soiling themselves.

I'd bet my car that you're in constant worry about doing it yourself. 😁
Either that or, as usual, he's just trying to convince himself the people he hates are guilty of the same things we know Trump to be guilty of.

Homeboy has had a barely-disguised scat fetish on this site for AGES. He's only recently begun branching out into lemonade instead of fudge. :ROFLMAO:

Green energy was never profitable for corporations. Fake green was a cash cow for a while. They will find other cash cows for a little while until the corporations die out, partly due to energy scarcity.

You oppose the sentiment “heal the world”?

No, I oppose those who would impose their ideologies upon all in the name of doing it for their own good. You use narratives to spread false propaganda that the world would be better off if only the world ran the way you wish it to.

“The most preposterous notion that Homo sapiens has ever dreamed up is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of all the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of His creatures, can be swayed by their prayers, and becomes petulant if He does not receive this flattery. Yet this absurd fantasy, without a shred of evidence to bolster it, pays all the expenses of the oldest, largest, and least productive industry in all history.”
― Robert A. Heinlein,

Heinlein’s words are a critique of Christianity. Most Jews would agree that God does not want supplication from us.

The phrase “Tikkun Olam” is the recognition that this broken world will not be fixed by divine intervention. It is incumbent on all of us humans to do it together.

Healing the environmental damage of industrialization will take millennia. That won't be done or started by our civilization with its Faustian values of constant and infinite growth and exploitation. Succeeding civilizations will have different values, probably greener values, maybe a recognition that humans are just one small part of a system forever beyond their comprehension, so they mostly cope with the condition of the earth as it heals itself.

On a practical level, there are green options of what to do now, for the very few actual greens, not hypocrites: LESS. Less Energy, Stuff, and Stimulation. Not advocate nuclear energy, windmills, etc. that might be built someday with government or corporate funding , but doing something with immediate and tangible effect. Live closer to work and bike or walk to it, live in a smaller home, buy less stuff, watch less or no TV, wash laundry by hand and line dry it, etc. Basically, voluntary poverty.

Apparently you don't understand concepts very well.

Pity...

What is your understanding of Tikkun Olam?

My understanding is that you're free to say whatever you want to say. That doesn't mean I have to agree with it.

Not that it matters because you still don't understand that the MEANING isn't the problem here. The problem is that you intend to use the meaning as the weapon to FORCE others to obey the tenants of your teachings.

This is called passive aggressive in newspeak.

Jews aren’t big on forcing others to follow our rules. I’d hope you’d want to fight for justice with us, but there’s no obligation to.

Ladies and gentlemen…
Please allow me to introduce to you…
A fearless champion of individual religious beliefs…
A supporter of those who are oppressed,
And the strongest critic against Christian nationalism and it’s use to subjugate minorities and women seeking abortions.
I give you the one, the only…

Huh??? Say what???
