Anyone from the UK?

I just had a table of 9 come in... they reserved. 3 kids meals and some bread and butter is the grand total of the food they ordered 🤪

my beef just came out the oven for tomorrow... I could do a beef n horseradish ciabatta with a few roast potatoes?
If you need a skive, I'm your man. Can cook if needed

An idea for you…these are going down a storm in’t north. Might be a bit too sophisticated for your southern clientele though…

Meh. We've done them before. They're nothing new. I used to work for Brewers Fayre 20 odd years ago and we had them on our menu then!
So you've got all the classics, curry chillie shepherd's pie ye anything different from the rivals?

We have 5 or 6 more flamboyant dishes on our menu and I use the specials board regularly.

I occasionally do private dining bookings too. I recently did a surf and turf event where some guys paid me a lot of money for Lobster, Scallops, Oysters followed by Chateaubriand with Dauphinoise Potatoes and all the trimmings... charged them £130 per person for the privilege

Nice gig!

Well you obviously don't need help with a menu then

Nice gig!
a lot of work for one person. I pulled an 19 hour day to get everything prepped and ready. The lobsters came in live so I had to dispatch 12 of em and then cook em then deshell them, shred and thermador then...

This was my mate Larry. We became friendly in the short time we knew each other 😂

If you leave the horseradish off, I'm game! Haha. Sounds delish.
What do you have in the cupboards?
Not a lot sadly. I've got a shop coming on Monday.

I've just managed to cobble together a chopped pork sandwich and a few hula hoops.

Cordon Bleu cooking it isn't. 🤣

I'd kill for a lobster.

I hope they're done humanely rather than just shoved in a pot. 👍

Yeah, cleaver through their head does the trick. I apologised and said thank you to each one before they crossed the rainbow bridge to valhalla too

Yeah, I bought a live lobster from my local fishmongers once... Dispatched it the same way but I swear I had strong feelings of guilt for days afterwards. I was like Homer from the Simpsons when he gave his pet lobster a hot bath. He was sobbing his eyes out at the same time as eating him. 🤣

I was the same. Guilty as hell.

You are amazing. There is very little that brings me more joy than going out for a nice meal. I hope you do have help and you enjoy what you do.

❤️
