They are looking for explosive residue. Sort of a giant Q-tip they run over luggage or whatever, place in detector and analyze what they have. What scares me is the last time it happened to me it set off the detector but they let me go anyway. He said it was likely hand lotion or something similar. It causes false alarms

It is supposed to be sunny in the 50s today in OH..... I qm going to go qnd take a drive for lunch and soak up some scenery.

Yeah, I've never been into over the top rhetoric to make things sound more exciting. "Excessive run off causing the creek to overflow its banks and turning the walk to one of the barns into crossing 100 feet of ankle deep water" works for me.
