Equal is a difficult concept in the world of kink, but I guess my view is that if someone is not hurting anyone else, and isn't putting their safety in direct danger, then just because their kink isn't to my taste it doesn't make it less valid.

I actually agree. There's a whole lot on the kink spectrum that just does not appeal to me but as long as everyone involved is consenting and safe then good for them.

I’m totally of the live and let live mindset but where do you draw the line? Those guys who were chopping bits off that other guy in the news last week did it with the full consent of all involved.
