My wife's family are all attorneys so I call that look the "attorney look"; pencil skirts with high heels. It is a nice professional look, but more if your mind imagines, and in this day and age where formal wear is seldom worn, stands out far more than it ever did.

They do so for a reason, the look can be alluring and can pull a male jury member off their game and yet still be within the VERY constrictive dress requirements of court.

Thankfully over here our attorneys do not need to wear those ridiculous robes and wigs like they do in other countries. Fortunately, I am not in court very often myself, but do get to see family as they get ready. I am a huge fan of pencil skirts (and sweater dresses in the winter)

I agree. Pencil skirts are so versatile for work and pleasure. I wear them to work quite a bit because they generally look quite flattering on me because I'm tall and leggy (and basically have the figure of a pencil too LOL!)

Mmm, the LBD - what's easier to throw on and look stylish and presentable? I have one almost identical to this one and plan to wear it to work on NYE.

- although I doubt I'll have two seconds to sit down - unless I get invited into some VIP's suite to wait for him to finish getting ready (which does happen from time to time 😇 )
