Narrator’s fortieth birthday is approaching and her close friend sent her an email asking what she wants. Narrator has an unrelenting and powerful desire to be spanked naked, well past the point of tears and has no one else she feels comfortable confiding in. She drafts a response to her friend’s email disclosing the depth of her desire for a truly overwhelming birthday spanking, but cannot muster the last bit of courage to click send.

so, a tragedy then
Perhaps, although it could potentially work as a piece of flash fiction that spends most of the text exploring the narrator’s internal dialogue and ends with the cursor over the send button, leaving what happens next to the reader’s imagination

What about reverse thinking this....

She doesn't have the willpower to send it, but by accident she did! We all have probably done that, sent an email or text to the wrong person that was sexually charged, and very embarrassed that we did?

What if she did that? What happens next?

Ooh, I like this idea

Maybe make it like the old movie Pink Panther. In that movie the police officer investigating an art theft, has his roommate attack him whenever and wherever so that his evasive skills are always sharpened.

Have the woman do the samewith the man she accidentally sends it too. She knows someday, someplace, somewhere she is going to have this carried out.

Play with the setting, have her in some really bad part of town where suddenly she is tied up, next to a nasty dumpster, rats running around, and she is so afraid, but yet with her fantasy fulfilled, spanked wonderfully!

But that is a creepy, dark place. You could have her spanking done anywhere. Write a list of 20 places. The first ones on the list will be kind of boring, but if you force yourself to think of 20different places, you will shock yourself at how creative you got

Perhaps her mild mannered and generally vanilla husband finds the unsent email and decides to give her what she wants.

Not every couple communicates their sexual needs well and maybe there's something he'd always wanted to do but was afraid if what her response might be.

Tonight both fantasies will be fulfilled. Happily ever after and lots of great sex.

Is anyone ever happy after just a bit of great sex? Or lots of lousy sex?

What if she sent a message to the general chat. She deleted it almost immediately but someone managed to read it. But she doesn't know who exactly. And now her BDSM fantasy will come true, but she doesn’t know where and when.
