Well, today has been a much needed, relaxing day. Spent most of it by my parents watching football and baking cinnamon-apple bread and banket.

I also made dark chocolate truffles, one batch plain, one with blackberry liqueur

When I was a teenager, my mom had this CD and played it in the car during the Christmas season. I love how you can hear the playful joy in her voice and can almost see her laughing and crinkling her nose and throwing snowballs, and the way it makes me want to do that, then curl up by the fire and drink hot chocolate while snuggling someone special. Even if he's not here right now, it doesn't leave me sad and longing like some songs, but still manages to give off a feeling of joy
