Day 20: A song by an artist no longer alive

There were really only 3 choices for me here. I chose the loss of an artist that was the first time I actually cried over the loss of someone famous that Iโ€™d never even met. Then the struggle was which song, so I went with where it all began for me, the first song of theirs I heard.

By a dead guy?
Oh wait.... that's not his, it's about him.

SO... first one I cried over?? WORST Day of High School.

Shit. Still cryin' He was ready to retake the world!
R.I.P. John
.... and George.

Damn. I knew this would bring me down. Now I'll listen to the whole album as I paint.

I am reminded. I do not like Yoko.

Cracking tune. Played this for the kids during last day of term. Fuck shitey Xmas tunes.... lol

Ps. Didn't realise Chester was buddies with Chris Cornell. Tragic that both ended their lives in similar fashion within months of each other.... ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Day 21: A song you discovered by pure chance
Pure chance? Iโ€™m not sure what that means when it comes to discovering music. Any song that I didnโ€™t deliberately go looking for? Iโ€™m not really sure.
Iโ€™m going with a song that I donโ€™t remember how I got to it exactly. Maybe it was chance?

Louis the Child ft. Ashe - Right To It

Heard it on a soundtrack. The band opened for the one you went to see. Someone put an earworm on a jukebox.

That's where I went.

Stumbled upon this song a few years back, loved the singers voice and now Iโ€™m a Jimmy Barnes follower.

I love a good cover. When another artist can take a known song and make it entirely their own is an art form I'm and of itself. This popped up on a Pandora channel years ago. I was instantly captivated.
