I would add reason #3 is that his approval ratings on border security are horrible and hurting his reelection prospects. A deal with meaningful reforms would be a political win for the president and both parties, and a security win for the country.

The House MAGAts we’re trying to do an end run around funding for Ukraine. (They still are). By bundling everything together, President Biden laid his priorities on the table.

President Biden made a good faith offer, bundling aid for Ukraine, Israel, the Indo-Pacific, and the border, (which COULD AND SHOULD have sped up the process of getting critical and time sensitive resources to those areas of need) but the House MAGAts are once again acting like political terrorists and holding everyone and everything hostage for political gain.



It’s pretty obvious that the House MAGAts want to starve Ukraine to appease their orange MAGAt king.



And the orange MAGAt king is pushing to starve Ukraine to appease Putin.



The fact that the House MAGAts and the orange MAGAt king are also starving Indo-Pacific nations of resources needed to counter Chinese aggression is quite telling as well. (China owns Ivanka AND the orange MAGAt king)



The inclusion of border funding in the package only goes to prove that President Biden DOES take the border problems seriously. But the House MAGAts can’t take yes for an answer, and are inserting poison pills into the negotiations. (Remember, Congressional MAGAts and the orange MAGAt king sabotaged immigration reform when they had total control of government).



So, yeah, President Biden knows exactly what the game is, and he has put the ball in the House MAGAts’ court on funding all those critical areas of need in a timely manner.
