A guy I used to work with was going to go to a training class at some shooting academy or another, but he was always cash strapped and never could put it all together to go. I'd be curious to go, but there's always some Know-It-All in a firearms seminar who's enamored with the sound of his own voice, and frankly, those people bore the ever loving fuck outta me.

His brother must be the one running the concealed carry class where I live.

I dodged the bullet on that shit. The class in FL was just me and the instructor (a friend) so there was no BS. In AZ all I needed was my DD-214, and here I took the class with a group of Vets and the instructor was a Vet himself so once more, no BS.

That being said I have seen some of the local commercial instructors and you'd think they were getting paid by the word.

What WOULD be interesting would be to see a CCP class for the deaf.

First of all those farmers don't have to do anything beyond quit planting and protect themselves. For their own protection they will need guns but they won't be hopping on their tractors and driving to DC. The Army is too thin spread now to take up farming and I don't think that even you would expect the Navy, Air Force, or Marines to take up the slack.

It seems that you are under the impression that a group of spirited political activists will march somewhere and wave flags and hold signs, or even shoot some guns. That isn't necessarily how things might go down. 14 satchel charges and the West coast is isolated. Within 10 days the citizens of LA, Seattle, SF, and Portland will be eating each other. It will take a few more to isolate the East coast. As for you? Most of your water comes from the Colorado river, blow the pipeline and watch the wells run dry.

Sounds silly to you I suppose but the plans are all there and it is you, the taxpayer, that paid for the planning that the people that will do those things will be executing. Planning that goes back damn near 60 years as part of military exercises as to how to conduct asymmetric warfare. Maximum damage, minimum force, no terrorism.

The government you so fervently want will be powerless to stop it. In reality they will make it worse and become the government you hoped you'd never see and in that reality many of the people you thought were your allies will become your enemy.

No one, NO ONE, wants to see any of that become reality, or even part of it. But that is a possible future if things are pushed too far.
