Wat's Guns-N-Stuff Thread

Years ago, I read somewhere about a local TV reporter doing a bit on Those Nasty Black Rifles and was at the range with a cop. They shot a watermelon. The effects were nowhere drastic enough, so the cop busted out his sidearm and greased the damned thing with a few rounds of hollowpoint to produce more Flying Pieces. Guess which footage was on the Nightly "News?"

The new upper arrived. :D
Merry Christmas. :)

Thank you!!! Equally to you and yours.

I have to shop for more glass now.

The little girl cat attacked the shipping box and fell on the floor with it. Landed on her side. She acted like it was all part of the plan.
Had a cat once that would sleep on the TV and every once in a while roll off. He tried to maintain dignity but if you pointed and laughed at him he'd run over and bite you. He was really thin skinned that one.

It would seem that vicious predatory killers don't like to have fun made of them.

Yup, no sense of humor at all.

My girls are up to no good this morning. There is something fascination over there >>>>>

I am glad they are small, have no opposable thumbs, and that I cut off their wifi account and credit, because Allah only knows what they'd put together while I'm out.

I see a lot of humorless trolling from the clueless.

They clearly want to be Archie's Edith.

Humorless twats indeed. They foul themselves over Fear of the Unknown and then accuse those whom they would belittle of being skeert of the same.

I suspect they are big city dwellers, mostly if not completely. They think that food comes from the corner market.

It's not fear of the unknown, it's fear of the known.

Oikophobia

I suspect that they are just haters and they see the wrong people having a good time, so their reaction is not to go have a good time but to make a grand spectacle out of pissing in the punch.

Oh, puhleez. You are a clueless idiot and just proved it.
And that's not me trolling, that's a fact.
Drink your coffee, say your silly little peace all over the board, and then head off to work stealing copper from AC units.

Twiggah please! What twat world you twat living in?
Americans from Miami, Florida to Bellingham, Washington and all parts in between get their foods from farming and meat processors.
I suspect, mostly if not completely, that IF you hunt it serves your conscience well to think Tyson Foods is willing to take the pheasant you blasted to go feed the homeless in Tulsa.

Fine plan, except that I have significant sight loss in my right eye. A red dot won't help that. The sight loss is significant enough that I can't see the front blade sight clearly through the rear sight, or the target beyond, right eyed. Left eye is still 100% so I can learn to shoot left handed which I can do fine with my bolt gun. I was looking for an option to still be able to shoot right handed with some way of pin pointing the target.
They make roll-on magnifiers in 3x and 6x that work with the red-dot. But if that won't work, go the LPVO route.

The Deplorable gun nuts harbor an underlying fantasy that MAGAts in rural areas will rebel with arms, cut off food supply to the primary urban and suburban markets, and teach those uppity libs a lesson about where food comes from. Yeah dammit, that'll learn 'em! Interrupt the flow of cash and federal Farm Bill subsidies to the rural areas! :ROFLMAO:

I haven't kept up. Too much time spent with car stuff these days, really.

I'm not sure that there is a "too much time," though.
Entire vids on YouTube called "Thunder Rants". Totally worth it for a few laughs and facts. TFBTv is the channel.

Okay. Thunder Rants from Thunder Ranch.

A guy I used to work with was going to go to a training class at some shooting academy or another, but he was always cash strapped and never could put it all together to go. I'd be curious to go, but there's always some Know-It-All in a firearms seminar who's enamored with the sound of his own voice, and frankly, those people bore the ever loving fuck outta me.

It takes effort to devote budget for training ammo and class. But it is a perishable skill, so I try to get myself and family to at least a couple classes a year.

That's why I like my Out West location. I can walk out my back door and shoot the side of my target backstop. There's no one to say I cannot. Skills do decline if not used/practiced.

My place is like that. There’s nobody to tell you what you can/can’t do. We don’t even have building permits or inspections. There’s nobody to ask for one!

It’s eerily similar to actually owning the land and being free!

As long as you keep up the property taxes. Slack up on those and see how long it takes it to go to auction.

But some places have tax forgiveness on property taxes for those over 65. I think Out West has that. It's a nice feature.

I have my family's farm for plinking, practice, and hunting. I need access to the expertise. And that is why I go to a number of different events/classes. I admit I don't know it all and see a constant need to upgrade the skillset.

Perhaps I shall look into what's available. It's a good idea.
