You're damn right I do. The Mullahs hijacked the Iranian Revolution.
And to go further back and look at the roots of the Iran situation, just realize what Eisenhower and Churchill supported in 1953, i.e. overthrowing the democratically elected Iranian government and installing the hated Shah as a puppet dictator, who ruled with an iron fist for the next quarter of a century. Why was the Mossadegh government overthrown in 1953? The oil and trade routes, of course. US and British imperialism is responsible for the rule of the Shahs and the Mullahs.
You can throw the French in the mix too.
But so what, it’s how business was done then. It’s early Cold War era politics, and the larger part of it is older than that.
You talk about oil and trade as if they were matters of minor significance.
