Whilst on the face of it the death penalty is a valid one. You can't take it back and so is it better that 1 innocent person dies rather than do away with it. If that is the case then are you willing to be that innocent person who dies due a mistrial? Are you willing to push the button / pull the lever to execute the person?
So then if you know you are going to get the death penalty then why would you let yourself get arrested and how many cops are going to be killed / injured in the pursuit?
And if you are going to do then take them out the back and pop one in head no dicking about with x years on death row , plus the one in the head leaves a goodly number of organs to be harvested - if we have a death penalty then lets go the whole way and not pussy foot around.
I do know the kind of guy you are. You provided that information by your own free will. I simply held the mirror up.No, but I don't think it's fair for a female to play the chick card pushing buttons and antagonizing a guy because they can without repercussion. And. The type of person I am...u don't know me and that's what this thread is for... I thought it was a safe place.. I guess in ur world only ur opinion is ok. Cheers
Those "who"...What about those that don't use big letters to start sentences?
This is the most I’ve ever disagreed with a controversial opinion on this board. We need to bring back the death sentence for certain criminal cases.
Then grow the fuck up. It is never acceptable for a guy to "smack" a woman. No matter how mouthy she is. No matter if she hits you first. End of story. And I appreciate ur opinion...u just don't appreciate the personal attack on my character. And broad statements lumping me together with whomever else...if u looked at anything else about me I bet...u know what..nm. we are both entitled to our opinion and I respect u for voicing urs.
Have a great day
Hot takeThis thread has an amazing tendency to go from fun to not-fun quick.
Hot. And also true.Hot take![]()
62? You must be very young. They keep bumping it up.Social Security is a ludicrous, unsustainable pyramid scheme. It's bankrupting the US economy and should be eliminated entirely. Instead of receiving retirement benefits, everybody who reaches the age of 62 should be marched into a crematorium on their birthday and incinerated, as God intended.

The number of exonerations after decades of incarceration is significantly more than zero. This is the best argument I've heard against the death penalty; not that you are against the death penalty per se, but just that our legal system has gotten it wrong too many times. That because they price for getting it wrong is so high, and so many mistakes have been made, maybe we shouldn't be in the business of doing it. That being said, there are crimes people should be executed for, if we could do this the right way.
I wish we could have a red edit function for company emails. Holy shinky!I use them when I grade my children's quizzes and tests.![]()

My permatan is not sprayed on by a lacky! LOLWho isn’t?
Sad but true--the book is always better! One of my favorite novels is The Postman, which is a post-nuclear holocaust work written by David Brin. Kevin Costner made a film out of that in 1997, which bombed unbelievably hard. I didn't think it possible, but Costner managed to make the movie contain *less* sex and violence than the book! With very few exceptions, movies based on novels, novellas, and short stories are not close to the literary basis!

Stepping outside of whether or not the death penalty is moral or right, it is fiscally irresponsible and a horrible emotional tax on the victim's family. This is the most I’ve ever disagreed with a controversial opinion on this board.
You are just getting better and betterStepping outside of whether or not the death penalty is moral or right, it is fiscally irresponsible and a horrible emotional tax on the victim's family.
The cost to the state to go through the series of automatic appeals is exorbitant.
For each new trial, or each parole hearing, te family has to re-live the murder of their loved one. Never being able to truly move on.
LWP: life without parole potentially saves millions in tax payer dollars, doesn't force the families to re-live the trauma, and, if new evidence appears the inmate is still around to be exonerated. Win:Win
Though, I do agree that private prisons are billshit
