What’s your most controversial opinion?

How did Florida State not make the college football playoff. Undefeated, conference champion. Never before has an unbeaten conference champ not gotten in. But instead two one loss teams make it. Once again college football embarrasses itself. And now we get to wait a month for playoff games.
Money. The Committee looked at the Vegas odds before announcing potential matches and balanced that with projected TV interest in certain potential games. EVERY decision is 100% based on money.

People don't like the truth...but sooner or later they will see it for what it is. NIL...transfer portals...TV rights.Rankings...all the betting odds...over under Yada Yada. It is all controlled but the same interests

BigSports, BigMed, BigGov, BigBusiness ... all run by Ferengi.

The only justification for profit is profit.

Nothing else matters. People are only a path to profit and are to be exploited at every opportunity.

I've got several. Let's see though, one of the least controversial might be:

We need to bring back the death sentence for certain criminal cases. "Death Row" is a joke. The possibility of a real death sentence is the best detriment to violent crime. Keeping psychopaths locked up for 30-50 years is a HUGE waste of law abiding citizens' tax dollars. But most state and federal prisons are actually run by private corporations so keeping our jails full is "good for business". Ugh. So backwards. We should be trying to need fewer jails, not more.

There's no actual evidence to support this position.

Also, until we can figure out how to remove racial, and to a much lesser extent class, bias from criminal proceedings, I can't be in favor of the death penalty.

Consider, as well, how many death row inmates are later proven to be innocent (the Innocence Project doing the Lord's work again and again and again). I'd rather let two bad guys go free than execute one innocent one. And that's my controversial opinion on the subject.

I'd have said making access to guns harder would have more effect.

Every single EU country and UK has a much lower murder rate than USA, and the death penalty isn't on the books in any of those countries.

Jamaica has the second highest murder rate in 2023, yet also has the death penalty...

We need to bring back the death penalty for someone who splits 10 values
