What’s your most controversial opinion?

When my RN sister did her ER rotation, she told us at the family party about this. She explained it as, "We want to know if you're pregnant without asking if you are"

Still it's NYB

That much is obvious, especially since we still have to pee in a cup to confirm it for liability purposes before we can receive any kind of medication or treatment, but I think the point of the meme is that there are often much more pressing matters in ER cases. And as was pointed out in another thread, they won't take your word for it if you tell them there's no possibility of being pregnant.

Last time the hospital asked my wife I got a dirty look. My reply was, unless she having an affair or immaculate conception.

What you say should not cost you your job or representation in most cases, though there may be some exceptions.

No KISS, it's not 'digital avatars' it's fakery.
Is this even controversial? They have always been a money grab, but if they’re trying to monetize digital KISS…I don’t even know what to say

Multicolored (red, blue, green, pink, orange yellow) mini Christmas lights are tacky.

Multicolored chunky retro Christmas lights can be kitschy-cute, if done right, which most people don't. White mini lights always look nice. I saw some red, white and green mini lights that look festive without being tacky though. Might consider those next year!

All of them. And I concur with many of yours. But they’re not controversial. They’re common thought. People, usually weaker people try and shame other people into thinking that their thoughts are controversial and socially inappropriate. People don’t always agree. Toughen up and stop getting your feelings hurt over it. Also, a large number of people that have “stupid opinions” aren’t completely stupid. They’re stuck in their own ideology and are often ignorant to reality and un-logically biased. They’re also typically hypocrites.

And some people just:

Like the sound of their own voice
Post things for comedy value
Like to stir the pot

I'd rather be allergic to sunlight than be allergic to tomatoes and life would be unbearable without paprika
Ingesting tomatoes was the only time I'd get zits as a teenager. My stomach aches and the body temp rises at least 3 degrees when I ingest all the nightshade foods. I learned to deal with it: chocolate helps, so does milk.

I love the sun. I don't know how I'd deal with being a non-Twilight vampire.

People who gang up and basically bully others but feel justified in doing it are assholes. I'm not talking about my own experiences but on Lit and in the non online world I see it happen and it sucks. It's just as easy to leave someone alone as it is to have to prove them wrong. Why do it?

How did Florida State not make the college football playoff. Undefeated, conference champion. Never before has an unbeaten conference champ not gotten in. But instead two one loss teams make it. Once again college football embarrasses itself. And now we get to wait a month for playoff games.
My theory: Those in the room discussing the four had a pro-SEC bias and could not imagine a "playoff" without an SEC team. Next year, it goes to 12 with automatic bids going to all Power 5 Conferences or 4, One from the group of 5, and the rest are wildcards.

My problem: If DI FCS, DII, and DIII can have more than 4 in their playoffs, why the fuck is FBS, Football Bowl Shit, can't?

Playing sports for exercise or activity is one thing.

Watching sports and 'following teams' is just plain stupid in all ways.
