I corroborate information. Lowest death toll numbers I've seen is 6,000 civilians...highest is 20,000+.

Making the point of contention about not knowing exactly how many palestinian civilians thats being murdered right now it intellectually dishonest. Similarly to the holocaust, you shouldn't need the exact number to tell when something is horribly wrong. Rest assured however, 10's of thousands has been slaughtered and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of palestinian lives are permanently ruined.
I would even support Israel's right to defend itself but even if Hamas today is destroyed, they haven't made their state any more secure. For every 1 Hamas solidarier they kill they have fueled hatred in 100 more. Would you forgive a neighboring state if they did to your home as Israel are doing to them? The true result of the war on Hamas is increased threat level on Israel itself in the forseeable future. Increased support from the arab world itself. What Israel is doing now is not destroying Hamas. They are making sure there will never be peace. And that that their country will always be under threat. Hamas massacre was unspeakable horror. I don't know that Israel could have reacted without war given that fact. But the end result is more likely to play into Hamas' hands. This. This cannot be the right way
I hate the notion that's being claimed that there is no Palestinian civilians, that they all are terrorists. It's not like the ultra right Zionist movement is a good faith actor. What about the plight of the palestinian people in Israel? What is it like living in the apartheid state that is Israel? What is it like for the 20% of the people that's not considered equal under law? That's being forced out of their ancestry homes with no legal say. Their possessions claimed. The laws coming out of Knesset targeting Palestinians for oppression is not remotely allowed under international law. And you can't defensive stamp me with the anti-semite for saying so. What about them?

It's completely normal. Perhaps not fair, but normal. Hamas did not think this through, but no one's ever accused them of thinking much at all.

In whose OPINION? If you start a war in an urban landscape that is EXACTLY what you get, a lot of civilian casualties. And that is EXACTLY what Hamas has counted on, the sympathy of a bunch of hand wringing, bed wetters, to put pressure on the Israeli's to 'make it stop.'
That isn't true, among other things. They crossed over the border into the killing zone and they captured kids and women and dragged them over.

I think pressure on Israel to consider it's targets better is reasonable. I think pressure on Hamas to surrender is essential and pressure on Qatar to hand over Hamas as well.
