George Santos

So my feelings aren’t hurt that santos was expelled after all his zany bullshit. But I would also support him not being expelled and put in a box where he couldn’t really do anything. It‘s some serious shit. The last two guys who were expelled were convicted of a crime prior to their expulsion.
I know that the likes of boebert, mtg, gaetz and others seeking celeb-poli status have damaged the 'serious' facade of American business in the House, but there's no way someone who HAS been proven such a liar and cheat deserves to share the same floor as genuine politicians.

his constituents didn't want him in Congress any more and with 23 felony counts against him he's surely headed for that box. good riddance.

he'll now go on to 'write' a book and if there's not a film made about this lyin' p.o.s character i'll eat H's hat

I watch this with a sadness. Why am I of the feeling that this is not normal procedure? Why do I feel that with Santos and a seditious Freedom Caucus have now made it standard procedure for Capitol Police to have to change locks, rather than the outgoing congress person just handing in their keys? I could be wrong. Anyone else have insight?

He's been expelled. The NY Gov can now make sure a Democrat replaces him.
We both know you're just pulling your usual knee-jerk Democrat-bashing here, but why don't you explain for everyone exactly how she can do that?

I still stand behind the premise that it is the voters that really is to blame. All one has to do is listen to Santos talk 5 minutes and anyone with a brain should know he is a liar. Yet...voters of the New York district he represents failed to care.

Our education system is so broken that Americans simply can't identify the obvious anymore. If Americans really received an education that fostered logic and reason...would we still be in this place?

A big chunk of Americans want to be lied to.

I would agree with you here if you said that the Democratic Party in New York failed in doing ANY opposition research on George Santos. And that they also dropped the ball in wholeheartedly backing Maya Wiley over Eric Adams.

My point being is that there’s a way to criticize democrats without discouraging people to vote and/or vote for the other party. Again, my motive is to win in November against a racist, autocratic bunch of anti-abortion politicians no matter what. You blaming the intelligence of voters (even if I agree), IMO, doesn’t help.

Lol....people are responsible for how they vote. It is on them to do their own research. It is on them to weigh the pros and cons and make a decision accordingly.

Who asked you? Denial doesn't change reality

Ethics should be strongly enforced. Through this...people...those that could vote...might build faith in the system.

Go out and ask a random number of people...you choose the number...you choose the place to ask. Ask this simple question "Is the Political System broken?"

This will not be close. The answer you get will be a resounding "yes".

Expecting a broken system to fix a broken system is ignorant. People enter politics because it is profitable for them. They don't give a flying fuck about you. Or your demographic. They sell you out if it makes them money. How do we change this? By not voting for the system. Find a candidate that votes for you....AND HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE. It really isn't rocket science.
