Republicans are just hoping that Santos will resign. He is an embarrassment (hard to believe that Republicans are capable of embarrassment) and maybe they are worried that their grift might come under scrutiny.

As far as Menendez is concerned, I don’t even know what he is accused of. Unless the feds have a tape of him offering to vote a certain way in exchange for cash, he isn’t likely to be convicted of anything.
