Potato bake (scalloped potatoes in a bacon cream sauce) and sweet potatoes in coconut oil (savoury).

I don't subscribe to tradition; just because ideas are tenacious doesn't mean they're worthy. Marshmallow sweet potatoes must go!

Early on I tried to mix things up on Thanksgiving. Now I must make the family favorites(which I do enjoy) and then use the rest of the year to cook in my preferred style.

I get that. Not growing up with Thanksgiving means I don't really have traditions the same way others do.

The sweet potatoes are coconut oil and Spike (a seasoning salt enjoyed by many a hippie I know). Super simple. Slow roasted so they caramelize and melt in your mouth when you eat them. Sooo freaking good
