She'd have probably voted for Carter in 1976, perhaps even in 1980 as well. Georgia was the only state in 1976 where every single county voted for Carter against Ford, and was one of only six states in 1980 to choose Carter over Reagan. Voters in Georgia didn't do that at the time out of liberalism.

She was 2 in 1976 and 6 in 1980, and not all Georgians voted for him either time.

Rosalynn Carter RIP.
Most of my life, these 2 were easy punching bags as hicks from the sticks from the right and spineless democrats.
I know better today.
A loving a devoted wife and mother, if Christian’s in America were not hypocrites to the words and preachings of Jesus then Rosalynn and Jimmy Carter would/should be celebrated as upholders of the faith more than any other republican especially Ronald and Nancy Reagan.
RIP First Lady.

Keeping it in human terms and not political, Rose and Jimmy were a great story. A love that lasted longer than the average person's life time. That's getting rarer and rarer these days.
Shame to see them separated, but I'm sure it won't be for long. At that point they were a pert of each other, and he won't last long without her.

Jimmy was a fine President, I never understood why there was such a projection that he was terrible. Maybe because he was genuinely religious and happily married, both qualities going against everything the GOP & the RW press stands for.

The religious right has not been good at choosing presidents. Reagan rarely attended church. Trump rarely attends church. At least Reagan was presidential. Trump is not.
