Haiku

A Shakespearean
Sonnet met a Petrarchan
Sonnet in a bar.

They compared notes and
Discovered their forms differed
In Rhyme but not lines.

A Hyperbole
Exclaimed, "I am the greatest!"
And promptly dropped dead.

"It was like a bad
dream," said the Simile, a
Sad look on his face.

"It was a nightmare,"
Added the Metaphor when
queried about it.

A couplet took a
couple of tries to get its
two lines straightened out.

It began with a
thesis and ended with a
synthesis of love.

Not realizing
that it skipped an important
step - antithesis.

Love and Hate often
Are thought to be opposites
But that is not right.

To Love something or
Hate something requires caring
about the subject.

Indifference is
The opposite of caring
And thus Love and Hate.

In terms of the math
One and negative one are
Indeed opposites

Indifference is
More like null than opposite
By my count, at least

Your life unravels;
One day each year, it runs smooth.
Turkey heals us all.

Well, who'd have thought it:
Lightweight sex posts in AH!
Some threads work, I guess.

A Summer's hot day
And a tinkling stream at noon
Sets the scene for fun.

A gentle touch pulls
A soft moan from your mouth that
Only we can hear.

The hot sun brings out
The dew on my skin as we
Enjoy each other.

The afterglow brings
A contentment that we are
Meant for each other.

The tinkling stream
Pays us no mind as it wends
It's way through the glade.

Leave? A door closes.
Still ajar, though, it beckons:
Wonderful unknown.

That's the beauty, though:
The room might not be empty.
Possibilities.
