This Palestinian/Israel "dispute" has been going on since 1947 (in the sense of a shared piece of the dog for the flees to argue over), Iran was not a theocracy then, and being one now hasn't made much of a difference. Obama made steps to move forward with Iran, but Trump fucked that up. So why should Iran cooperate, the West has repeatedly fucked them over..
Also lets not forget it is the Iranian people and them alone who can keep or change what type their Government is.

They don't have too many options.
The first observation is that they can't allow this condition to stand. If they do that then that signals to every wannabe jihadist that the tactic works and it will be used again and again. Hamas must pay the consequences of their actions.
What can they do? They could sever the tunnels and put the hospital under siege. No food, no water, no power. In that instance Hamas's response is predictable, kill the staff, kill the patients, kill the hostages, blame it on Israel.
They could insert clearance teams and go room to room. Hamas's response will be the same as laid out in the preceding paragraph.
Or they could just bomb the place into rubble in which case they WOULD be guilty of killing everyone. Obviously this option is off the table.
So they're left with one of the first two or variations thereof. They will have to document every move they make because there are far too many that will buy into Hamas's blaming Israel.

I don't know what they should do outside of make every effort to spare civilian lives. But that was part of my post...
What I don't suggest they do is what you suggest because you're an asshole who doesn't believe Palestinians are worth the effort.
