Damn… was gonna go with so many… punk rock bookended the decade with 1970 by The Stooges and ended with street punk and Oi! Just getting under way.

And post punk… PIL, Wire and Gang of Four. And a lot of good bootboy music.

Oh heck yes!! there’s too many (but I’m following the rules and only posting one ) this is probably in my top 10 favorite 70’s songs. Grew up listening to a lot of funk, disco, and R&B from the 70’s

I'm a lame-ass white boy, and probably one of the least funky people alive (lol), but in my early twenties I was given a stack of records with a ton of Funkadelic albums included and it opened a whole new world for me. The first one I put on was 'Maggot Brain', and it was like "whoa"! I seriously considered that for my selection here, but I went a bit more upbeat...
