Vacate Watch - Speaker Mike Johnson (R - LA)

Biden literally made a person's ability to claim status outside of the port of entry moot....and he deported them .

The courts rejected that position.

What part of that don't you get?

Highlights from Florida vs. USA

Section 1225(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) mandates the detention of arriving migrants who do not have proper entry documents, with a narrow exception for parole. And these migrants are subject to expedited removal unless they establish a credible fear of persecution or torture. If they establish a credible fear, they are entitled to a hearing before an immigration judge, but the Supreme Court held in Jennings vs. Rodriguez that their detention must continue until an immigration judge grants them some form of relief or they are removed from the United States.

According to the judge’s ruling, between March 2021 and November 2022 the administration released more than 1.16 million arriving migrants into the U.S. on parole or simply as a matter of discretion.

The administration claims that it doesn’t have sufficient detention capacity to detain the migrants. But this is analogous to the parable of the child who kills his parents and then seeks pity because he is an orphan. The surge in illegal crossings during Biden’s presidency was a predictable consequence of terminating the previous administration’s border security measures, reducing the availability of detention facilities, and releasing undocumented migrants into the country.

So you want all migrants to be housed where? How?

Before you say it, Mexico won't take them back anymore so remain in Mexico is off the table.

Your SCOTUS failed you. Imagine that.

LOL nice article, it argues from both sides...It says Biden can't do what he did, but then says oh wait under 1225 b/1226 a it can....

The administration claims that it has the option of using section 1225(b) to detain arriving migrants, or section 1226(a) to release them. Section 1226(a) does permit the discretionary release of undocumented migrants: It provides that on a warrant issued by the Attorney General, a migrant may be arrested and detained pending a decision on whether he is to be removed, or released on bond or parole.

Release on parole as stated in law is for urgent consideration not a catch all.

The AG is part of the fucking problem. His interpretation of parole is bastardized at best. He should be impeached for dereliction of duty. Carefully read 1225 & 1226 and while you at it read Alito’s dissent. Not having resources for asylum adjudication is Biden’s fault. The remain in Mexico gave Biden’s immigration team time to process asylum cases without fear of contradiction our constitutional law. If they don’t cross our borders we deal with them first come first serve without violating the six month apprehension statute. The time factor for waiting in Mexico for relief would have slowed the onslaught of migration through Mexico to the US.

Go yell at the lawn, the administration is following the rules. Don't like the rules, go lobby your rep...quit whining about it here...

Again, what exactly is your solution?
Your question is analogous to investigating a bank robbery 3 years after it happened. AGs from many states have urged Biden during most of his term to pay attention to the numbers all predicting a future crisis, their pleas fell on deaf ears. Biden’s policy was intentional. His administration considers what’s going on a success. Mayorkas should be impeached and prosecuted for dereliction of duty and treason. If a terrorist incident does unfortunately occur the Biden administration will have a lot to answer for.

Those college students protesting genocide by Israel if attending on visa’s should be deported.

My president failed me. You should be very concerned with what’s happening. Biden’s interest in now building (disingenuous attempt at that) a wall is analogous to constructing a corral after the horses have left the scene.

lol, yes I understand it's your country, and I get Biden is following the rules. I also get you don't like the rules Biden is following, and you insist it's Biden's fault for following the rules....

You just posted that your SCOTUS failed you yet somehow blamed my President.

Sit down, dumbass.
SCOTUS ruled that State AGs lack standing to challenge Biden’s immigration policy but congress can.

They didn’t rule of favor of Biden’s policy. Biden’s use of asylum parole is being bastardized and leaves our states in an untenable situation. Our AG is complicit for allowing the bastardization of the asylum parole process, should be impeached right along with Biden. Our congress is feckless and partisan. Should a terrorist attack happen on our soil our government as a whole will have blood on their hands.

so those shouting about defending the constitution, how do YOU feel about the separation of church and state? the new speaker seems to believe it's a myth (or should be), and with his great buddy in his ear influencing his decisions, he'll actively work towards that (no doubt with boebert stuck to his coattails)
For nearly four decades, Texas activist David Barton has barnstormed statehouses and pulpits across the nation, arguing that the separation between church and state is a myth and that America should be run as a Christian nation.
One day after little-known Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana was elected as the new House speaker last week, Barton said on a podcast that he was already discussing staffing with Johnson, his longtime ally in deeply conservative, Christian causes.

"We have some tools at our disposal now (that) we haven't had in a long time," Barton added.

Johnson recently spoke at an event hosted by Barton’s nonprofit, WallBuilders; he’s praised Barton and his “profound influence on me, and my work, and my life and everything I do”
“We would best understand the actual context of the First Amendment by saying, ‘Congress shall make no law establishing one Christian denomination as the national denomination,’” he has said.

Barton also argues that the country's founders "never intended the First Amendment to become a vehicle to promote a pluralism of other religions.”

Biden is granting a court case to people who claim asylum as required to by law. And yes, treating people like human beings is intentional

We need to fix how we spend and how we control tax revenue. 2029 the interest on the debt will be 1.2 trillion. Just think how we could spend that on needed project instead. We need to make some tough decisions. Both Democrats and republicans have been fucking us over and are doing so now. We need to clean house or eventually become insolvent. We need to tax and cut not tax and spend.
Just think of how much more work people are going to have to do to make it up.

Can’t help you with your willful blindness. These asylum cases should be adjudicated outside our country. Making Mexican cartels filthy rich is intentional.

Where? How? Deciding that shit that isn't possible can magically happen is not better than reality.
