What’s your most controversial opinion?

Someone cannot obligate me to speak to them just because they spoke to me and vice versa. Just because a message was sent, it doesn’t deserve a reply, it has to earn one. If I send a message to someone here and they think I’m an asshole, there is zero requirement to message back. That’s bully behavior to demand a response.

No one owes anything to anyone. If someone chooses to write someone, that's on them. Much like a phone call. Just because my phone rings, doesn't mean I'm obligated to answer. Would it be good manners? Maybe. But, we're not entitled to anyone's time just because we show up in their space.

Also, many many people here aren’t here looking to hookup with anyone. The fact that there are Personals here doesn’t mean everyone is here for Personals. And just because someone has a Personal Ad here doesn’t obligate them to respond to anyone.

Utter shit! That's the equivalent of saying that you should respond to all junk mail and spam emails.

There are plenty of people I don't want to receive a pm from on here and elsewhere. I'm sure there's plenty who don't want to receive a message from me too.

Why should anyone have to respond to someone who enters their personal space unannounced and uninvited. It's like a stranger walking up to them in public and making comments on their looks...
 
Another controversial opinion I have is that some people don’t understand what a controversial opinion is, but that’s fine. It’s probably also controversial to pick and choose what part of a paragraph they wish to comment on so it loses context. But don’t bother arguing further on this, I’m I unwatching this thread anyway.
 
I am going to jump on the side that it is up to the individual as to whether to respond to a PM or not. Responses are not required nor should they ever be expected.

I hate to break it to people...this is a story site first and foremost. You got a better chance of hooking up at your local grocery store. Which is right up there with a laundromat in scoring potential

Another controversial opinion I have is that people shouldn't get butt hurt when they're called out for their controversial opinions.

The person who doesn't seem to understand what controversial means ain't any of those who responded...

It was understood why it was controversial, but when one has a controversial opinion you can expect blowback on some of them. If you aren’t prepared for blowback on a controversial opinion, don’t express the opinion.

It didn’t lose any context. Your list was of several unrelated controversial opinions separated by spacing. The replies have been to an opinion in its entirety.

Saying this with kindness and empathy, but you have had several posts about people not responding to you. Consider listening to the other side on this one.

Day after Easter, I sent my son to school with chunks from the ham we had, a slice or two of his favorite cheese (Plastic), and a cold ring of pineapple I roasted with said ham. Every teacher and lunch lady thought he was weird. The kid, now 29, will bring himself one to work now LOL
