Israel/Hamas PB Tribal Fight

Go back centuries, and the largely Muslim Middle East was civilized while the largely Christian European countries were tearing themselves apart with sectarian conflict over "crusades to control the holy land", and then over Catholicism and Protestantism.
Yes, religion sucks. Already went through that.

That is what I said. The theological philosophy of Islam has not changed since the 12th century. That is when the 'Golden Age' of Islam ended and that was due to a radical change in philosophy.
Yah, we're saying the same thing. The politics within the religion have been fairly persistent towards extremism and there hasn't been a change in that

Definitely a lot of internal and external factors there. It always feels like fighting a never ending tide.

Which brings me back to my statement that Islam has to change from within. Until such time we'll be faced with a never ending repetition of what we see now.

We can sit here and discuss what should be, could be, wannabe but in the end we have to deal with the reality of the situation as it stands. Approaching these acts of barbaric terrorism in some abstract exercise of pseudo-intellectualism does nothing to solve the problem. We DON"T have to understand their position, they've made their position clear in no uncertain terms. Why there is a segment of our population, particularly within academia, that refuses to believe them astounds me.

Is the answer to subject Islam to brutality so severe that the stress forces them to adopt a new philosophy out of the desire to survive? I don't know if that's an answer, nor am I professing such. I'm merely acknowledging that appeasement has gotten us no where.

I'm on board for that, but the rest of the world always has a role. And right now, I think more than ever......the reaction to Hamas will set up any change going forward towards any direction. I know you dislike Biden, but him heading to Israel is meant to reinforce specificity of response. We need all of NATO to do the same. I think Netenyahu should clarify and walk back his recent comments.

If people want peace, then show it.

Judaea and Judaism predates then all.
Palestinians are ethnically Egyptian and Jordanian. Neither of those countries went to absorb Palestinians.

Israel should remove the settlements in the West Bank like they did in Gaza. But the election of Hamas illustrates that they have no interest in governing. The current Israeli government failed and is a disaster. Netanyahu belongs in prison. Most Israelis agree which is why the coalition is so fragile and pushed to the right so bring the fringe to his side so he could win. Israelis have been protesting for months.

Hamas has destroyed any chance of development in Gaza. Israel only provided 11% of water to Gaza. There were desalination plants that Hamas let fall apart. Instead of using all of the aid they get to help people, they used it to amass weapons. Their schools only teach hatred of Jews and nothing actually useful. They wouldn’t allow Israel to give them covid vaccines.

A small part of this is about Israel. A larger part of this is about Hamas bring the elected government of Gaza but having zero interest in governing. An even bigger part is that basically people wish Jews would just die. If Jews and Israel didn’t exist, this would be easier for you. But the Arabs will still fight it would just be a different enemy.

Never mind dealing with Islam extremism, what president telegraphs a visit to a war zone? Are democrats purposely trying to make sure he never wins another election.

TIC...TIC...TIC...and then KA FUCKING BOOM! If it comes down to it and Israel faces extinction I have no doubt that they will unleash their nukes.

Israel got the message when the fucking animals in the Middle East and around the world didn’t pause ONE SINGLE BEAT in their on-line and off-line propaganda blame campaign and their demonizing of "the Zionist infidels", despite the heinous, murderous, cowardly terrorist attack and kidnappings by the Hamas animals having JUST OCCURRED

🤬

One would have thought that it was the Israelis who stormed into Gaza, spraying innocent Palestinians with bullets, burning them alive, and raping and kidnapping them, all while raining an endless barrage of indiscriminate rockets and missiles down on the area..

🤬

Maybe if "ALL" those "Palestinians (and others) who didn’t / don’t support Hamas" would have denounced and renounced Hamas in the IMMEDIATE AFTERMATH of their animalistic brutality, and called for a global day of mourning for Israel, rather than organizing celebration / support rallies for Hamas’ disgusting actions and calling for a global day of rage against Israel, then the Israel’s response would have been markedly less comprehensive in scope and scale.

🤬

Fuck!!! Fuck!!! Palestine!!! (and all the rationalizers and apologists too!!!)

From the river to the sea, Palestine is dead to me!!!

(That ^ is me being purposefully extreme for effect. - Rather inflammatory, isn’t it?? - Especially in light of the CURRENT situation in Gaza.)

Just think about it…

JFC

SAD!!!

Oh no Lazaran, this shit storm endangers all of us... from escalation to nuclear war. What happens if the leader of China decides to move on Taiwan, will the United States respond with nukes? ... in Colorado a railroad bridge "suddenly" collapsed onto I 25 near Pueblo. While a train was rolling over it, law enforcement is tight lipped but stated it looked like, sabotage.... is this a sleeper cell.... don't know....
War after war and rumors of wars from the east......
Thing is, those of us who will survive will be faced with neo-tribalism......

Peace isn't easy. The current situation doesn't have winners. Hamas could have held elections since 2006 and then maybe new leadership would have not been terrorists.

At this point, the leadership of Hamas can easily resign and surrender to Israel. That would allow Israel their pound of flesh and likely would bring an end to hostilities for the time being.

The "Taiwan is next" thread is here -> https://forum.literotica.com/threads/china-thread.1579021/

I'm just shocked that you didn't bring up how nukes are obviously next.....baby steps

Buffy's fear and wild imagination.
I'm going to continue asking for sources when people talk about something ongoing. It's not meant to slight any poster...I literally just want to see new information. (Even if biased)

I get that you are. I am just predicting in advance where it came from. Buffy can always prove me wrong by giving you the source.

Perhaps. I don't get how some folks on this site don't like providing them. I'd prefer that you know what sites I get my info from so you can read and discuss the same information. It doesn't compute why others wouldn't want the same to me. It's not a partisan view. If you read the same piece and interpret it differently than me, it benefits me to know.

It's nice to see someone here doing that as well. This situation will not end nor be resolved through partisanship. Not in American, (Canada etc) or Israel or with the Palestinians.

Both sides have faults in this situation, but I do agree if your statement was to occur Israel would stop the bombings, etc. Would it solve the issues no, but at least the innocents would stop getting killed.

This is good news and a good diplomacy win for the US. (Forgot the link before posting..corrected)

Israel-Hamas war: U.S. and Israel agree on aid plan for Gaza just as water runs dry

"It is critical that aid begins flowing into Gaza as soon as possible," Secretary of State Antony Blinken said early Tuesday morning from Israel.
.....
Blinken said the U.S. and Israel share a concern that Hamas may try to seize or destroy any aid entering Gaza.

He issued a warning, "If Hamas, in any way, blocks humanitarian assistance from reaching civilians, including by seizing the aid itself, we'll be the first to condemn it. And we will work to prevent it from happening again."

History on this topic is fucked up. There is rarely a party involved that hasn't exacerbated the situation at some point.

I think there would be some backlash, but short lived.
