Nah...it is very credible. The Far Right Wing will not compromise. The moderates will be caving. The only way to prevent that is if McCarthy is nominated. I do believe there is a way for him to be re-elected. But he refuses to work with Democrats to save...or retain his position. And...I am not convinced he wants the job. He sees the writing on the Wall

That's because last time was egg on their face. They won't allow it to happen again. So they are talking amongst themselves but nothing...as it should be...is coming from "official" channels.

Washington is a small community...even across aisles. What I am hearing...and it can be wrong...or more likely behind the present facts...is Scalise will not hold the gavel. That is all I am hearing.

That leaves 2 options. Gym Boy...or McCarthy. I am also hearing there is no chance McCarthy steps up...but I still see that as the only way...other than all moderate Republicans caving to the Trump side. Which is possible...but unlikely. The saving grace holding the Republican moderates together is their understanding Ukraine needs funded

The sad truth of the matter is that McCarthy’s short gap funding ends in less than 40 days and we’re essentially waiting on republicans to figure out what leader they want to assign to come do nothing and shut the government down.

While I hear your frustration, this problem lies with the Republicans, The Democrats can't fix the issue. At best theycould have made a deal with McCarthy and kicked this problem further down the road. However that may have masked the total lack of ability for the current elected Republicans in the House to actually govern, and these idiots get re-elected next time around.

It's better that the American public see this, and maybe they will figure out idiots like MTG or Geatz are best not to be elected to office ever again.
