Israeli Prime Minister's office confirmed they were decapitated. On CNN. I don't usually trust CNN but on anything war-related and non-US, they're still usually okay

My main point is that babies being killed is enough to be an atrocity.

The point is Isreal should only punish the perpetrators unfortunately Hamas use their people as human shields. They don’t care about the welfare of their people. What makes it even more difficult is that Israelis put a high value on life and right now the possibility exists that many members will lose their lives because they value those hostages so much they will die to attempt to bring them back home. You fight the Hamas tunnel systems the same way the Japanese were irradiated from their tunnels. House to house combat is the most dangerous and cost the most lives. Both sides will lose thousands but in the eyes of the Israelis finding slaughtered babies makes it worthwhile.

I think we're all more or less agreed on that, altho as with the Nazi's in WW2 Germany, I would hold every Hamas member culpable, and give the bulk of the Gazan population were busy celebrating, I really don't give a shit how many of them are collateral damage. That's on Hamas and them.

Yes, IDF soldiers will die, but they'll die rooting out murderers and finishing them off. Hopefully, not too many of them will die, but they'll die forestalling yet another Shoah. I suspect the Gazan survivors will not want another round after this one. The ones that are left, anyhow. And you can forget international pressure here.

Gaza is going to get what they deserve.

Think about this. The USA has a population of 333 million. Israel has a population of 9 million.

1500 murdered Israeli's is the proportional equivalent to 50k dead Americans. When we lost 3k in one day, we invaded two countries and occupied them for 20 years. Proportionately this is at least an order of magnitude greater to them than 9-11 was to us.

So everyone (and I mean foreign gpverments, the useless bottom feeders in the various UN orgs, and the Pal symps) might as well shut the fuck up with with demands for "restraint" and "de-escalation". If terrorists murdered, beheaded, tortured, raped, and kidnapped tens of thousands of Americans in one day we'd carpet bomb whoever did it back to the Neolithic, napalm the rubble, and then salt the Earth and you know it.

We're not the ones who got hit, so we don't get a vote. The IDF is going to collect some fucking heads, lots of heads, and the only thing standing in their way of stopping this shit from ever happening again is the hypocritical spinelessness of the rest of the world. Whom I sincerely hope they tell to go fuck themselves. When all of Gaza looks like a demolition site and there's nothing left moving in the ruins, that's job done.

The thing to me is that the beheading part somehow makes the right even madder...as if children and babies being killed was less of an issue....but beheading was just so much worse!

Hamas is NOT the Palestinian people. There are more than a few that probably want nothing to do with this. It must be remembered that Hamas came to power in the wake of Arafat's death and the disclosure of how much money he stole from the people. Immediately upon coming to power Hamas went about eliminating all opposition in the most brutal ways possible. Hamas is no longer representing the people, they are, in essence, a totalitarian power.

That being said refugees are streaming across the Egyptian and Israeli borders. They are being thoroughly vetted as they pass through the check points. Meaning that these are the people that want nothing to do with Hamas's activities. or the consequences thereof. That also means that those who remain in the strip are fair game for the Israeli's.

For the Israeli's this is total war and they aren't going to stop until all opposition is eliminated. To put it bluntly this is going to be a bloodbath and the Kumbaya hand wringers/appeasers are going to be out in full force. I also hope the Israeli's don't stop until that cesspool is cleaned out.

I further expect acts of violence in the Western nations that have come out backing Israel. Let's see who backtracks when the violence comes home.

Sorry, but we’ve seen enough ACTUAL video of Hamas animals spraying bullets into innocent civilians cars and homes, burned corpses, dead bodies, widespread destruction, and hostages being dragged into Gaza.

The Palestinian people have lost me. If Palestinians stand with Hamas, then they can fall with Hamas. Some Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere who "didn’t / don’t support Hamas" should have alerted Israel and others that a major attack was in the offing. There is no way that every opponent of Hamas in Gaza was unaware that a major attack against Israel wasn’t imminent.

I will continue to rail against Netanyahu, the far right government in Israel, and the systemic displacement of Palestinians from their homes and their land, but the Palestinian people writ large have lost any sympathies I once had.
