What? It's not my fault if you can't retire......lol fucking idiot.Ah, just another I got mine and fuck everyone else type of guy.
Guess who won that beautiful Henry .38-55 at the Legion!!! MEEEEEE!!!!
I put up a Ruger Mini-14 this morning for the next raffle.
I actually am retired, 10 years to be exact. I went back to work part-time mostly for social interaction. What? It's not my fault if you can't retire......lol fucking idiot.
The mini-14 is a neat, fun, little rifle. Put a 20 round mag on it and shoot all day!!Guess who won that beautiful Henry .38-55 at the Legion!!! MEEEEEE!!!!

I first retired in 2013, then was headhunted and accepted a 5 year contract. In 2019 I was again headhunted and took a 2 year contract I renegotiated that once, and didn't last renew it last February. Maybe 3x's is the charm....or until I get bored.I get the social side of it.I actually am retired, 10 years to be exact. I went back to work part-time mostly for social interaction.
The 6.5 Arisaka is a highly under rated rifle and well worth picking up if you can find one at a reasonable price. People hate the safety mechanism (with good reason, it's awkward). Finding one with the Chrysanthemum still visible and sharp increases the collectible value.I have a kind of bucket list for firearms. I would love to own am MI-D Garand, an M1 paratrooper folding stock carbine, 8mm Nambu pistol, Mauser 1896 Mauser Broom Handle pistol in 9mm, a Mauser 98K rifle, Type 38 6.5mm Ariska rifle, 1903 Springfield rifle, P08 Luger, and a P38 pistol.
Of course if an FFL 3 wasn't such a hassle to get and I could afford them I would also love to own a Model 1921 Thompson submachine gun, 1918 BAR, StG44, and an M2 machine gun. These would be mostly for display purposes and made inert and unable to fire unless I wanted to shoot them.
Mostly pipe dreams unless I win the lottery.
Yeah, I've kind of figured that all out. But hell if a miracle occurs and I win the lottery dreams can come true! The 6.5 Arisaka is a highly under rated rifle and well worth picking up if you can find one at a reasonable price. Good luck with the P08. You have a better shot with the P38.
The 98 Mauser's are over priced these days unless you have a pristine military. I've got 4 of them, one being an original 1918 Wafenfabrik. The other three I've 'sporterized.'
Like the P08, good luck with the M1D and M1 carbine. As an aside in up until the 1980's carbines sold in the $15-$20 range.
Good luck with that too.Yeah, I've kind of figured that all out. But hell if a miracle occurs and I win the lottery dreams can come true!
True that on good luck.Good luck with that too.
Fuck off. Stupid is it's own reward.Grandpa wanted to have fun by starting off the wedding with a bang! - and accidentally shot his 12 yo grandson.
