It was meant as sarcasm. But you have to ask yourself what changed after 2019? Crime has increased exponentially due to progressive policies. No one will forget the summer of love which was a total abdication of the law. A mayor turned his back on law abiding citizens and now the Ferguson effect is well entrenched in Portland’s political culture. Don’t blame law abiding citizens for what ails Portland blame the progressive leadership and their *I know what’s better for you *condescending attitude . I do blame citizens for voting these idiots into office but they do have a chance in the near future to right the ship. Portland can regain its stature as a west coast jewel.

If you look at the crime statistics, you'll notice crime was on the rise before 2019. In fact crime has been on the rise in Portland since the 1980's. Maybe it's all Reagan's fault??
