I personally have never mistreated anyone because of their race. I do, however, think that slavery, racism, lynchings, race-driven massacres, Executive order 9066, the Holocaust, and the Trail of Tears were horrible events in history that should be acknowledged as such. Does this mean I hate myself, or that I hate white people, because of these crimes?

When I was a kid and my uncle told me that all of the teachers in my elementary school literally took the day off on Election Day(“gold day” as they called it) so they could make sure to go vote for Democrats I literally didn’t believe him because I had no clue what their political beliefs were despite spending more time with them than my parents a lot of the time. Now kids know what the political beliefs of their teachers are during orientation week and they are scared to challenge or question them in any way.
