Sex & Shenanigans

Dont fuck the pastries.

For me, fav places in North America would be the whole west coast. Drive along the ocean from San Diego to Vancouver.

If I had to pick off continent... Barcelona Spain and Jiuzhaigou in China might be tied for first.

Places I most want to visit... Great Barrier Reef, Antarctica, the countryside in Italy and France, Bali
The first time I made that drive, I took the 5. It sucked! After that, I figured out to take the PCH and it’s gorgeous!

Favorite places:
Ireland, for those who haven’t been there, it really is as green as you picture it.
Venice is amazing!
I agree about the pastry shops in Paris. You can gain 5 pounds just from the smell of them.
Prague. Beautiful.

In the U.S.
Colorado Springs. I lived there for years and was still awestruck every time I looked at Pikes Peak.
Santa Fe. It used to be such a charming artist/hippie commune.
San Francisco. Hanging out in the Haight Ashburry district just makes you feel so cool!
Montana. Current home. Big Sky Country.

In deference to our lovely hostess, Banf is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

What’s everyone’s most favorite place to visit. We know @Mr_bogey does Chicago. ;)
What about everyone else? Do you have a very favorite place to visit in your travels?
I want to spend time on this post and attach some photos I took but I need my laptop and external drives for that.

Some of my favourites are already there (Brugge, Edinburgh, Florence and smaller Tuscan cities). I'll try to do less known parts

Plovdiv in Bulgaria - good for skiing and a beautiful Balkan city
Dubrovnik in Croatia - simply amazing
Gothenburg - best city in the world
Leipsoi - small Greek island, where I'll retire to hopefully
Seville amazing city, incredible food

I’m glad I answered this question early when I thought it was only listing your top choice. Otherwise I would have been stuck writing a novella of all the places I’ve loved traveling 😂
I hear you, it was tricky to keep it brief 🤣

And made me realize I need to plan beyond the 2 trips, I have booked.

Stateside would be western NC mountains. Foreign travels would be London just because I have been so many times and it is like 2nd home. but Scotland is really impressive and I already want to go back. Mostly because the people especially in Glasgow were so nice and they like boozing as much as me. I dont know. Netherlands is up there too and certain parts of Belgium.

In honour of 1000 pages of Shenanigans… we’re going to do POSTER AWARDS!!!

And since shenanigans belongs to ALL OF US… we’re going to do nominations for each award.

Please submit up to 2 posters for each award. After the weekend (which includes Monday cuz in Canadian AF), the panel will deliberate and determine the winners!!

The awards are as follows:

Poster who mentioned buttholes the most!

Poster who most effectively used their emojis 😉

Poster who gave out the most angry reactions (😡)

Poster who never seems to have a clue what’s going on.

Poster who gives out the most compliments!

Poster whose tagline changed the most over 1000 pages! (Or whose tagline you loved the most)

Poster who has made you laugh out loud the most!!

Poster who always manages to be quiet when it’s shenanigans all around them!

Poster whose voice you want to hear more of!

Poster who you wish would post more on shenanigans!!

OK EVERYONE … go back through the amazing journey of the last 1000 pages and find those posters you wish to recognize.

Also if you have a special nomination award, please submit that as well. There may be a prize for the most original award submission!!
Bump

I don't get the travel bug much, but I do enjoy travelling. I'd like to see the Pacific Northwest and the Grand Canyon, and I'm into anywhere with a good regional cuisine. Internationally, I'd like to go to Barcelona and see La Sagrada Familia.

I’ll take a crack at it, even though I’m kind of a stranger in these parts.

@Indie wins this one hands down!

@Fingerfuxs is the emoji master.

No one is angry here. It’s a happy place.

Ummm. I don’t understand the question. Where am I???🤷🏻‍♂️

@Photog1rl is sickening nice to everyone. 💜

Maybe @ToPleaseHim

@crazychemgirl @SirConradPeckereye @MedicalMuse many others.

@Mtnmike Strong silent type, but super nice.

@Anastasia1999 Wonderful conversationalist and a voice you could pour over waffles! (Love you Princess)

@ydahecnot He is always hilarious, but he’s kind of a drive-by ninja. He pops in, says something clever, then vanishes like smoke.
You have problems with instructions, don't you? Send a PM to CCG with your nominations.

Scotland and Wales is right up there as far as awesome vacations. Only been once, but man…the cathedrals and castles and the city of Edinburgh was amazing.
Sitting where Rowling sat in that little cafe writing Sorcerer’s Stone and basically seeing Hogwarts out the window was damn neat too.
Yes, I loved it. I don't know which castles you visited, but my favorite was Doune (because Terry Jones - Monte Python - narrates the audio tour...all of the Holy Grail indoor scenes were shot there. It is awesome to look out the window at "great tracks of land"). I loved Skye though the most. Had a great adventure in Inverness too!

And Cathedrals...Oh my, I love going to medieval churches/cathedrals. York, Westminster, Canterbury etc. But Ely Cathedral was the best tour ever!

But some of the best days of my life in England were spent in dinky little towns that don't boast much for tourism. Their nice cosy pubs, with friendly regulars, are wonderful. One afternoon I pulled into a pub, not sure how long I'd stay. Dinner a few pints later, I had been fully schooled in the important rugby match playing on TV. Lovely wonderful people. My crappy little "local" was wonderful too. By about the second month they "knew" me...
It's just such a great culture.
