I was raised around guns, still have many myself and NEVER have any shot an actual person, or been pulled to threaten a bad person. the GUNS are not the problem. my guns (including one everybody will get their panties in a bunch over because of it's name) have not ever once shot themselves. It always takes my finger (or that of another trusted, responsible, law-ABIDING party) to shoot, even just for target practice.

Further, gun restrictions will only apply to those who care about the law. Pretty sure we both agree most mass shooters, snipers, evil people we hear about on the evening news care NOTHING for law & order. thus more restrictions won't prevent them from obtaining and commiting violent crime. Illegal guns are the true issue. Taking guns from law abiders only further increases the bad peoples' audacity to actually do something bad. yet we rarely hear of the church goer whose concealed carry weapon harmed ONLY the bad person already harming others....

The number of people who are willing to go to a politician's rally and the number of people who are willing to vote for them are not necessarily the same.

What the crowd size in Trump's rally in SC shows is that the republican base is still solidly behind him in the Republican primary. It remains to be seen if that will carry over to the general. We'd need to know how many of the attendees of that rally were new people who hadn't voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 because he won't be able to win the general election with just people hardcore ride or die with him enough to go to his rallies.

But he was correct in one thing; Trump has more energy in those that support him than Biden ever did. What alot of right-wingers who note that discrepency between Trump's and Biden's 2020 voters' enthusiasm for them is that they can have alot of visible, enthusiastic, and very vocal supporters and it won't mean nothing if they can't get a large number of people who don't care enough to show up at their rallies.

Many, if not most of the mass shooters bought their guns legally. If they hadn’t been able to, lives would’ve been saved.
